Fredericton is now recruiting
Staff
for our
2012 Summer Camp
Delegations of 4 youth age 15, plus an adult
leader from 9 countries will live, learn, and build global friendships
at a CISV Summer Camp 2012 will
be taking place July 5th through July
27th, 2012 at Magaguadavic Lake – a beautiful, private, lake side
facility in a rustic New Brunswick setting.
We currently have
openings for 4 staff members (including a Director).
If you are 21 years of age or
older (25 years and older for the Summer
Camp Director) between July 5th and July 27th, 2012 you are eligible to
apply!!
An
eligible applicant for a STAFF position
is someone who has:
- · an understanding of and a commitment
to demonstrate and promote CISV goals
- · the ability to share leadership
duties with other adults and youth leaders and a working knowledge of
group
work concepts and methods
- · the ability to support and encourage
young teens, as well as a willingness to learn from them
- · the ability to facilitate a sharing
environment where mutual respect and friendship can develop between
leaders,
JCs, and participants
- · administrative ability, which
includes planning, organization, time management, coordinating of
multiple
activities and excursions
- · effective verbal, non-verbal, and
written communication skills
- · physical stamina and emotional
balance
- · a warm and friendly
personality
An
eligible applicant for the DIRECTOR position
is someone who also has:
- · All of the above as well as the
ability to share leadership duties with other adults while maintaining
a
lead role as the identifiable authority. Previous CISV
experience
would also be considered an asset.
